Technology innovation around driverless vehicles a lot of early experiments in different industries. Examples of delivering packages to hard-to-reach places via drones have been experimented by DHL, Amazon and others. It surely won't be long before we see self-driving delivery vans on the roads. In more local settings, robots are being experimented to delivery items such as Pizzas and in-room catering in hotels. There have been some early success stories on collection with order/pay ahead within the hospitality business which have mainly been brought about through mobile technology and the cloud. Self-service lockers in high footfall areas have also been successful in solving delivery challenges where the customer can't be at home to take a delivery.
