Microsoft's Bing has been mapping the inside of shopping malls for a couple of years and now technologies are being deployed to enable people to navigate inside the mall. SenionLab have introduced a powerful indoor positioning and navigation technology which compliments Bing Maps and radically improves navigation capabilities in environments where GPS systems are unavailable. With Google busy mapping the inside of stores, the two giants of search have both realised the potential of the mapping on the inside to help both shoppers and retailers connect with each other.
