Paperchase's queue busting mobile point-of-sale
UK gifts and cards retailer, Paperchase have introduced mobile Point of Sale (POS) on the shop floor of its flagship 17,000 sq ft Glasgow store. Visitors will be greeted by sales assistants fitted with the Omnico mobile POS solution, providing Paperchase with queue-busting support during its busy weekends. A key challenge for Paperchase is reducing queue lengths and duration and because most stores are located in commuter hot spots, such as the store in Waterloo Station, the queue busting solution had to ensure time short customers complete purchases promptly. The system enables store associates to use the MPoS devices for additional customer engagement, including loyalty programme data capturing and encouraging link sales to increase the basket size of customers looking for sales support.
